The function rule y equals 6 x shows the number of gallons of water in a kiddie pool after x minutes of being filled with a hose. How much water is in the kiddie pool after 3 minutes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The function rule y=6x? Or the function rule y=6. x shows...?

Bad wording. Or just tuff to understand wording.

this is right out of the book my mom gave me

There isn't a period anywhere in (The function rule y equals 6 x shows the number of gallons of water in a kiddie pool after x minutes of being filled with a hose. ) If it's y=6x that you would do y=6(3) y=18

Does that look right?

Yes thanks
