what to do?

OpenStudy (cccmpt2):

adding square roots

k5sqrt8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 10 sqrt 2

OpenStudy (cccmpt2):

:) i know the answer, just not how to get it. it is 10√2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can write sqrt 32 as sqrt(2*2*2*2*2) and then it will give 4 sqrt2 and from 3sqrt8 you can write 6 sqrt 2 as sqrt8 = 2sqrt2 qnd then qdd 4sqrt2 qnd 6sqrt2 to get 10 sqrt2

OpenStudy (cccmpt2):

i don't understand how you wrote out 3√8, can you please clarify that process please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah y not 3 sqrt8 we know sqrt8 = sqrt (2*2*2) thus 3 sqrt8 becomes 3*2sqrt2 and 6sqrt2
