Determine if the graph is symmetric about the x-axis, the y-axis, or the origin. r = 9 sin 7θ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hoa any ideas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to my knowledge, I make a table and draw the graph of r . I just find out the value of r based on 4 value of theta. just 1/4 of the result, nothing to say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on, which grade are you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I may overestimate the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AP math?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i suppose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you ever studied parametric function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or polar equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean this is for colar coordinates

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because if you haven't studied it yet, the problem might be even or odd function only. not that far

OpenStudy (anonymous):

polar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course, polar equation, but do you know how to draw it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to me, at normal level, sin function is an odd one, it is symmetric about x axis, but to higher level like calculus 2-3, that polar equation must be drawn out to consider the changing of r respect to theta. that's why I ask you about your level

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay how would I do the equation to do it .... if there is an equation? is there
