(-10, -6); m=-5/8

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

I suppose you want to find the equation of a line with slope -5/8 and a point (-10,-6) use the point slope formula y - y1 = m(x - x1) you plug your y in for y1 and your x in for x1 so y - (-6) = -5/8(x - (-10)) y + 6 = -5/8(x + 10) y + 6 = -5/8x - 6.25 Now add 6 to both sides and get y = -5.8 - .25
