HINT: Use quadratic formula

pooja195 (pooja195):

Subtract both sides by 14: x² = -14 By square root property: √x² = ±√-14 [Note that √-14 contains two absolute factors] x = ±√(14*-1) [Also note that √-1 = i] x = ±i√14

I know that but I am having a hard time understanding the quadratic formula. It's all very confusing to me
