PLEASE HELP !!!! Using complete sentences, explain how the graphs of exponential functions are different from the other functions you’ve studied (e.g., linear, quadratic, cubic, rational, etc.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exponential means that one of the variables is increasing (changing) at an exponential rate while the other is not. Usually this will take the form of y = x^n In order to show this on a graph, one axis will increase according to powers of 10 while the other axis increases linearly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In linear functions neither the y nor the x has an exponent so both axes on the graph will increase linearly. Quadratic and cubic functions are exponential. Rational functions may or may not be exponential.
