what does row equivalent mean
EDC!!
yup
PLUR!
LOL!!!!
by any chance can you explain what row equivalent means?
I think it refers to a system which an be switched and have the same row space.
ok ill work with that
a system is row equivalent if you can get from one to the other using elementary row operations. Having the same number of rows is a necessary condition but don't think it's necessary to say they are row equivalent on just those conditions.
ok i get it, matrices have to be the same size, nxn
and you need to be able to solve them with the 3 elementary row operations
and they have to share the same solution set right?
Yep! If they have the same solution set, they both reduce to the same matrix in reduced row echelon form and since row operations are reversible, yo can then reverse one set of these to get from one matrix to the other by row operations and hence row equivalent.
thx that was really clear and concise
Curious, r u engineering major @ UCLA?
nope, my friend made this account for me
never had the chance to put accurate information lol
Oh. Ok. Lol. Well Best of luck. Cheers.
thx a bunch
