what is the aim of electrical engineering and computer science

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think this might explain it. http://www.eecs.mit.edu/academics-admissions/undergraduate-programs

OpenStudy (ghazi):

sorry to interrupt but i think basic aim of both of the engineering is to integrate computation to grids, because today most of the power grids are running on micro controller and in future all of them are supposed to be transformed and controlled by computers... secondly , just studying electrical engineering in present era is not sufficient and neither adequate all the devices specially power electronic devices are now programmed and to know programming you need to know computer science, indeed both of them are completely different field and has vast scope but their integration is necessary for the synergetic development, hope that helps, by the way again i must say there is huge need of programming in electrical engineering. => INTERESTING FACT , yahoo founder holds, PhD , and Masters and Bachelors in electrical engineering so just for a bit of fun you can realise how addictive is computer science ;)

Here's a much better link, sorry that I didn't post this first. http://www.eecs.mit.edu/academics-admissions/undergraduate-programs/prospective-students-faqs#whatis
