The unlevered betas are estimated using the average market debt/equity ratios by industrial sector...i found them on damodaran.com, but there are for that years only for USA and i need it for Europe..i need to use it into capital asset pricing model (CAPM).

You explained how to calculate levered betas, but what is the definition and application for levered betas?

unleverd beta is needed when the firm doesnot have its securities listed on stock exchange and hence it has to derive unlevered beta other firms of same industry whose securities are listed on stock exchange .

unlevered beta derived from camparable firms is then adjusted according to debts and equity available in the firm ...this is levered beta

:) Here you can´t find unlevered beta by industry for Europe 2009, it´s deleted..on damodaran.com you can find it only for USA.
