Use function notation to write the equation of the line. A. f (x) = 4x + 4 B. f (x) = 4x – 1 C. f (x) = ¼x + 4 D. f (x) = –4x + 4 @johnweldon1993

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

so we start at 4 this time...so B is out...it's a positive slope so D is out.....what do you think this one is...remember...1/4 means up 1 and then over 4.....does the graph do that?

ughhhh i hate math

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

haha don't worry about it hun...you just need more practice...that's why I'm making it more so YOU think about it.....so with this line.....at ANY point of the line.....do we go up 1....and over 4? no ...if we did it would be that OTHER line I drew.....do we go up 4...then over just 1? yes we do...so answer is A

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Want me give you an example problem?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):
