Why is voting an essential part of a democracy? Why are voter turnout numbers so low? Why do younger people tend to vote less often than older people? What do you think can be done to increase voter turnout, especially among younger voters?

^^ Why is voting an essential part of a democracy? - Bercause the point of a democracy is for the public to have part in government decision making ext. ^^Why are voter turnout numbers so low? - Even in a primary election, if the candidates don't suit the voter, then they will not waste their time voting. Also, a good number of voters are frustrated at the fact that the Electoral Votes can override their votes to count or not count in the end. there are also many other reasons for that.
