help factoring this trinomial please? x^2+4x-5=

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Thats actually a bi-nomial....only has a power of 2 so x² + 4x - 5 you know you need x times x so (x ) (x ) now we need the factors of 5 5 and 1 are the only 2 so (x + 5) (x - 1) to check...multiply it out x² - 1x + 5x - 5 x² + 4x - 5
