how to solve 1/(x-2)^2=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welllllll the only way to get zero with a fraction is if the numerator is zero this is not the case and if the denominator is zero, then you will get an undefined answer or infinity which is not zero so given those 2 statements, and using reasoning, there must not be a value for x to make this equation true

ok ty :):)

It will approach \(0\) as he denominator approaches \(\pm \infty\). These aren't real numbers so they're not exactly a solution. They're worth considering though.
