Using a sixteen-sided number cube, what is the probability that you will roll an even number or an odd prime number? The number 1 isn't an odd prime. Round to three decimals.
hiii :)
Hello. Can you help me?
3,5,7,11,13 = 5 numbers + 8 even numbers = 13 13/16 is the probability
do u understand?
The answer choices are: 0.188, 0.813, 0.219, and 0.156
check wat 13/16 is
0.8125?
yep your question says round to 3 decimal places so what will that be
I'm not sure :/
0.813?
well this is how you round numbers 0.8125 right so you look at the last digit in that number if the number is 5 or more like 0.8126 you say it is closer to 0.813 than it is closer to 0.812 so you make it 0.813 if it 4 or less like 0.8124 then you say its closer to 0.812 than 0.813 make it 0.812
So, the answer is 0.813?
yes and do you want to know why 13/16 gave us that answer
Yes.
okay ummm this is how you do it you want to know if you roll the dice then what are the chances it will be either a prime number or even number on a 16 sided dice right
that means dice numbers go like this 1 <---- this number they say is not an odd prime so we dont take it 2 <--even 3---prime 4 even 5 prime 6 even 7 prime 8 even 9 10 even 11 prime 12 even 13 prime 14 even 15 16 even now count up all the even and prime that is 8 even and 5 prime so 8+5 = 13 now there are 16 sides to a dice so 16 outcomes but we only need 13 so to get 13 out of those 16 outcomes or in math terms that is 13/16 which means 13 out of 16
anything not make sense?
