OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Please help:) A mass of 0.5 kg attached to a spring is set to have such free damped oscillation with a frequency of 2.0 Hz. It is observed that the amplitude of the oscillation is reduced by 4/5th of the previous amplitude in the same sight. Calculate the damping factor and the spring constant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

* F = kx F=Force k=spring constant x=extension in this case, the force would be the weight of the mass.
