1. A student looks at a slice of tissue on an unlabeled microscope slide. The student concludes the tissue is not from an animal because the cells in the tissue have (1 point) membrane-bound organelles. nuclei. cell membranes. cell walls.

Take a look at this picture: http://activity.ntsec.gov.tw/lifeworld/english/content/images/en_gene_c1.jpg It's a side-by-side comparison of an ANIMAL cell, and a PLANT cell. Look at the PLANT cell, on the RIGHT side. Do you see how the plant cell has something called a CELL WALL? Animal cells don't have those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say cell walls.

OpenStudy (dean.shyy):

Cell Walls because plants have cell walls, while organisms has cell membranes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plants are organisms. Plants ALSO have cell membranes, along with their cell walls. I think you meant to say that ANIMALS only have cell membranes, and no cell wall.
