Solve the equation: tan2x - cot2x = 0 for 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you try, \[\tan 2x -\frac{ 1 }{ \tan 2x}= \frac{ \tan^2 2x -1 }{ \tan 2x }\]=0 iff \[\tan^2 2x -1 =0 ---> \tan^2 2x =1 ---> 2x = \pi/4 ---> x =\pi/8\]

I don't know whether I miss something or not, but it's quite easier than your way, just, make condition for tan 2x!=0 ---> sin 2x!=0 or x !=0

\[!= is \neq \]
