SOMATIC cell is another way of saying BODY cell. (It comes from the word SOMA, for BODY.) GAMETE cells are SEX cells. ~~~~~~~~~~~ So... SOMATIC cells are to GAMETE cells.... as BODY cells are to SEX cells. Does that make sense?
