one aluminum can wieghs about 1/25 lb. if your school starts a recycling drive, how many cans will your school need to collect to recycle one ton?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 ton = 2000 lbs. 1 can weighs 1/25th of a lb. or .04 So divide 2000 by .04 and you get 50,000 lets check.... 1/25 x 50,000 = .04 x 50,000 = 2000 If I did this correctly, the school will need 50,000 cans. You might better wait for a second opinion.
