Composition of functions Suppose that the functions of f and g are as follows f(x) = 2x+3 g(x)= (sqrt 4x-5) Find f*g and f+g. Then give their domain using interval notation (f*g)(x)= Domain of f*g: (f+g)(x)= Domain of f+g:

It's interesting how none of these are actually compositions :D The domain of a product is just the intersection of the domains of the factors :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think this is a composition

This is the first time with this kind of problem

Do I solve for f and solve for g then find the f+g and f*g with the domain for each?
