what method can be used for separating a mixture of sand and salt?

Salts are soluble in water. rinse your mixture with water. the salts are separated from sands. then by Sublimation, separate the salt from water.

or you can heat up the solution until the water boils away and the salt remains. How will you make salt sublimate?

@jrod326 I think that practically filtration wont work. because maybe very small particles of sand also transmit from the filter.

@jrod326 you can't filtrate the salt out when its dissolved in the water.

@ardalan distillation is the technique, condensation refers to the physical process of the vapour reverting back to the liquid phase.
