is there a way to check whats on the website that doesn't have link? For example you go to somewebsite.com but u don't see any stuff there but for example when you type in somewebsite.com/4.jpg you get some picture if there exists one on that website.

no you can not see whats in the directory but you can see its source code.
because we you upload html or php file with a name "index.html" or "index.php" the server will know only to display this file and hide the other contents. it is done because of security purpose.

Generally, no. As annas said, this is generally the case for security reasons. Sometimes a website will show you the contents of a directory if it has no index file depending on how it is configured. Although this is fairly rare these days. Best you can likely do is guess at names of files which may or may not load depending on file permissions.

You can check the site source to see what is on the site and what is within its directories. Usually, viewing the source would be an ideal path if you are familiar with html code and other site codes used. I think every website also has a directory that can be viewed if the site link is entered in a specific way. You might have to look up on this option if you want to view the site directory.

certain sites allow you to access their directories to which  you can view images and files and such.... It just depends how the server is created.
