(2a+1)^3 Can someone show me steps to complete this, please?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You could do the multiplication, use Pascal's triangle, or use combinations. Which one sounds familiar?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

honestly, neither...I haven't done this stuff in a long time. ..all I know to do next is: (2a+1)(2a+1)(2a+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that will work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do the first two, then multiply the result by the third

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(2a+1)(2a+1)=4a^2+2a+2a+1=4a^2+4a+1\]so now you have to multiply \[(4x^2+4a+1)(2a+1)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8a^3+8a^2+2? I know that's not right...im REALLY LOST I understand F.O.I.L but not when it comes to three parts
