First you need to match up the same varibles. (Ex. 5xy + 4xy)

12x^2-15x^2y+6x+12x^2-8xy+6x =24x^2-15x^2y-8xy+12x

distribute the 3x into it's parenthesis and the -2 into IT's parenthsis
