what is the probability of flipping a coin 4 times and getting 2 heads and 2 tails

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

well what are the chances of either? you have 1/2 chance to get heads or tail correct? so you have 1/2..4 times. so 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2 equals 4/2 or 2...you have a 2/4 or 1/2 chance to do it....makes sense because the probability never changes and it will always be constant...you'll always have a 1/2 chance of this happening
