Say I have a transition matrix add up by row of 1. And the transition matrix will have the long run steady state if i power them up long enough. Then I will end up in the situation of computing the matrix Ax=x, where A is the transition probability matrix and x are the steady state vector, if i understand this right, this is what i know as balance equation. How should i go about doing this in R or matlab to get the steady state vector x?
