A man has brought tomota and five fruits from market. How many ways he can prepare mixed jam by selecting any 3 fruits excluding tomato
so you have five fruits, in how many ways can you choose 3 among them?
say I have (a, b, c, d, e) one way would be (a, b, c)
yup it may be pineapple, grapes , mango, apple and papaya
yeah thats just an example, but the idea is simple
hmm, i got it , so what is the next step
just figure out how many ways you can choose
look at the example i gave (a, b, c, d, e)
@ZeHanz , can u help me
@Luis_Rivera u have done wrong
@amistre64
since the tomato is non a part of the process, you have a group of 5, and choose 3; this simplifies to (5P3/3!) 5.4.3 ----- = 5.2 = 10 ways 3.2
okay @amistre64 thank u so much
youre welcome
