MEDAL FOR THE CORRECT ANSWER! Two triangles are similar and have sides of 2, 4, 9 and 6, 12, 27. What is the ratio of similarity between the two triangles? 1:3 2:27 4:3 4:27
1:3
If you divide 2 by 6, 4 by 12 and 9 by 27, you get the same ratio everytime. What is it? just simplify one (or all) of the fractions 2/6, 4/12 or 9/27...
@adam.bloedel: You are supposed to give explanations, not just answers...
no, it's just one of those answers choices and this is all that i got. i just need the answer.
No, you don't need the answer! You need to understand the question, so you can come up with the answer yourself, and then make the right choice.
wow.
@meganemma1995: Suppose you have 20 homework questions. You don't understand any of them. You ask on Openstudy. You get 20 answers, like the one above. You will have the right answers, but what have you learnt? Nothing. So asking just for answers, and just giving them has no benefit for anyone.
@Luis_Rivera: I don't think Pythsgoras has anything to do with the question. 2, 4 and 9 is not a Pythagorean triple. 6, 12 and 27 neither.
I beg to differ, I think it only adds to the confusion.
