Ok, so we want to solve for x. \[−20 =−4 x − 6x \]Combine the like terms. -4x - 6x = -10x so: \[−20 =−10x \]Now Divide both sides of the equation by -10. \[\frac{ -20 }{ -10 } = \frac{ -10x }{ -10 }\]\[2 = x\]
