You need to set x-35 and x+83 equal to 180, since they are a linear pair. It would look like this: x-35+x+83=180. Then solve from there!
Solve for x Then substitute what you got for x in each anlge measure.
i'm like still confused...
x-35 + x+83 = 180 2x = 132 x = 66
