In a 20 row theater, Front row tickets for a concert costs $60. After every 5 rows, the ticket price goes down by $5. What is the total amount of money generated by a full house? My teacher said the answer is $46, 950, but I have tried to figure out where that figure came from. I need to show my work, but no matter what I do I can't come up with that answer.
This lacks vital information, I think... I believe she should have told you how many seats were in a single row. $60 would be the price for one seat in the front row, not the entire front row. So I think she didn't give you all of the information required to solve this... but I could be wrong.
OOps sorry, I forgot to post one part: In a 20 row theater, the number of seats in a row increases by three with each successive row. The first row has 18 seats.
Alright hold on I gotta draw this out real quick
ok
