Think of this as finding the surface area for the shapes that describe each pan. The round cake pan can be thought of as a cylinder with diameter 7 and height of 2. To find the surface area, find the area of the top by using pi*r^2, and find the area of the side by multiplying the circumfrence (d*pi) by the height. 

For the rectangular cake, draw out the cube and find the area of each side (except the bottom) by multiplying the dimensions
