How did World War I change the way German Americans Lived in America ?

You have both sides. The first side is about retaliation, revenge, and usurpation through and at America. The other side is a safe haven and the presentment of opportunities to succeed and live comfortably in America from the traumatic experience of the war. Remember, Germany was considered part of the CENTRAL POWERS, while America was part of the ALLIED POWERS. They are both not in the same side, nor have the same agenda at the time of war.
