is log(6x11) expanded log6 x log11? if not what is the right answer?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

log(A x B) = log(A) + log(B) so log(6 x 11) = log(6) + log(11)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

btw, use * instead of x to mean multiplication x is usually used as a variable so 6 * 11 is better than 6 x 11 (since you won't confuse * to mean a variable or not)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I guess I should have used *, but you get the idea
