You add several drops of red food coloring to the water in a beaker without stirring. After a short time, the water has a red color throughout. Was the system of the food coloring and water more organized before or after you added the food coloring to the water? Which law of thermodynamics explains the change in order?
@Mertsj You possibly know anything about physics?
Well, I don't really know but common sense tells me that it was more organized before adding the food coloring and the law that explains it is (?) is the one that says stuff tends to go to maximum entropy and minimum enthalpy. Does that sound close?
Oh yeahh, It's the second law of thermodynamics then since it says that time moves in the direction that entropy increases, or the order of the change. Thanks!
