Help fast please!!!!!!!!! The picture shows a water slide. What is the height, AB, of the water slide? Answer 8 feet 11.31 feet 13.86 feet 16 feet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhm..this is kind of hard to answer without the rest of the information about the picture. I'm assuming it is a triangle with the two number lengths on it already. So you would have to do a reverse Pythagorean theorem on it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle a is 60 and the hypotenuse is 16 and angle b is 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So do you know how to do Cos/Sin/Tan operations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes sin = o/h cos= a/h tan= o/a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if I remembered them entirely from my sophomore year I would help you work it out, but You would need to use Sin to find the height. First you will have to use Cos to get the base though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So x/16=60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you catch that last post by another person?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No its gone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay Angle C = 30.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes i that its a 30 60 90 triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay now I got it :) Cos = 60 also known as .5, .5 = h/16. Multiply both sides by 16 to get the answer of 8 feet, so the answer is A.

Ok thanks
