Here the base is 7in + 6in = 13 in. And the height is 45.5 sq in. Because the magnitude of a line segment can't be 'squared' (normally we only see that with areas), we must square root the value 45.5 first. sqrt(45.5) = 6.75 (Rounded to the second decimal place) So now we know that the height is 6.75 inches. Now we use our Base = 13 in, and Height = 6.75 in the formula for Area to find the answer. A = B x H A = 13 x 6.75 A = 87.75 sq in (approximately) @tremors280
