@salehgeek : How do you make latex inline, make it bigger, add colour...?
``` 7+8 \[7+8\] this is inline \(7+8\) this is inline and bigger \(\large{7+8}\) this is inline, bigger and colored \(\large{\color{brown}{7+8}}\) ``` 7+8 \[7+8\]this is inline \(7+8\) this is inline and bigger \(\large{7+8}\) this is inline, bigger and colored \(\large{\color{brown}{7+8}}\)
Thanks
\(\large{THIS} \hspace \large{IS} \hspace \large{LARGE}\)
Is the Latex used here different from TexLive?
Don't need too many `\large`s :-)\[\large{THIS \quad IS \quad LARGE }\]And yes, here, we have MathJax -- a small subset.
``` \[\large{\text{THIS IS LARGE}}\] ``` \[\large{\text{THIS IS LARGE}}\]
Is there a syntax list?
just ask me
lol :-P Yes there is.
there is?
Yes.
Am I allowed to know the location of such a treasured resource?
The ones in "mathmode" are the one that work here.
\[\yogh\]
@UnkleRhaukus That one is not in Mathmode :-)
There isn't $...$ or $$...$$ in the list. Is it non standard to use the dollar sign, because it works well on Latex documents.
\[\ddot \frown\]
The Detextify site is really good! I didn't know such a site existed (Added to bookmarks!). Oh and the Double Dollar sign just worked. Why doesn't the single dollar sign not work?
yeah detexify is very good
\(\(use\)\)
$...$ is probably turned off so that $1+$2 doesn't print as \(1+\)2
But you can still use `$$ $$` here.
Wow, this is the second consecutive time that I have given someone the Detexify and it has been added to the bookmarks. Memory test: @UnkleRhaukus do you remember whom I gave it to the last time? :-)
Thanks for your help. Can you suggest a way to make life easier while using Latex on OpenStudy and in tex documents?
that just happened 3rd time
memory say that was about 7 months ago? i cannot recall the user, but is was someone who is often online
Is it possible to use Latex to plot graph without using external packages?
Yes, you're right. :-)
That was across!
ah! __ with tikz `\usepackage{tkz-fct}`
But they asked if it was possible <<without>> external packages. :-\
I believe the answer to that is no.
im not sure what is mean by external
Locked in behind Windows now but will test it on my Ubuntu laptop later. I have used gnuplot/gnufor2 before. By external I meant not requiring the use of \usepackage.
then i agree with @ParthKohli
I just looked the tikz package up: serves as an interface to gnuplot. I am sooo happy! :))
tikz is awseome
I \(\heartsuit\) tikz
Where do you find all these stuff?
I find this stuff from UnkleRhaukus. UnkleRhaukus finds this stuff from UnkleRhaukus.
