Help please! I got 28.26 so witch one would it be? What is the approximate circumference of the circle? Use π ≈ 3.14. http://lv.k12.com/mediaFiles/Ninth_Grade/Math/Unit17525/Lesson68692/VHS_PA_S2_03_L209_L309_Q5.gif A.21.1 feet B.36 feet C.56.5 feet D.113 feet

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it r*3.14/2

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

The formula for the circumference of a circle is $$C=2\pi r$$

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Have you seen this before?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i have.. but i mean the approximate circumference of the circle i got 28.26 so i mean witch is closer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did u get the 28.26 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as @skullpatrol said ; C=2*pi*r=2*3.14*18=113 feet

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Replace "r" in the formula C=2(3.14)r with 18 and calculate C.
