Let f:R[x] ---->R be a function that maps each polynomial in R[x] onto its constant term. Show that f is a surjective homomorphism of rings.

not sure ... but but show f:R1(x)*R2(x) --> R1*R2 and f:R1(x) + R2(x) ---> R1 + R2 which is true for polynomials.
