the sides are congruent but not proportional right? So they would not be similar?

well, the triangles, one was smaller one was bigger. the smaller one had the sides labeled 4, 4.5 and 2.5. the bigger one had the sides 8, 9, and 5. so doing the ratio smaller triangle to bigger it would be 4:8 4.5:9 2.5:5 so reducing those all makes it 1:2
