A boy is riding a merry-go-around 7m from its center. The boy experiences a centripetal acceleration of 7.50 m/s^2. What would the centripetal acceleration be if the boy was 3.5m from its center? Please show me your steps.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Consider the formula:\[\Large a_{centripetal}=\frac{v^2}{r}\]If you reduce the radius (r) by 1/2, what does that do to acceleration?

Thank you you have helped me soooo much!!!! Ill fan you and give u a medal!!!
