This isn't really a study ? .. LOL... but in my opinion there probably are. I mean. At some point they only knew of 1 ... then 2 then a few ... etc .. so there are probably more there.
Sure, but they are extremely heavy and unstable and radioactively decay. That's why you have all these radioactive elements at the bottom of the periodic table. They don't really last very long, less than a second most of them before decaying into smaller, more stable elements that are more common.
there's a fairly detailed set of calculations that predicts, if you can get atomic numbers of between 800-1000, those atoms just might be stable. So, absolutely.
