OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Dopamine molecule is capable of making strong hydrogen bonds. Edit the dopamine molecule so it can no longer make strong hydrogen bonds.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

remove all the substitutent groups, such as the amine and the two hydroxyl groups.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe removing is not a good way. for deactivating OH groups ( I mean protecting) use DHP. for amine group use 9-Fluorenylmethyl Carbamate. now dopamine is not the original dopamine! it cant have hydrogen bonding.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that dopamine has not an internal hydrogen bonding. if we use an aprotic solvent, without changing the nature of dopamine, we have eliminated the Hydrogen Bonding.
