Can we please have a new interface for OS?
The current one is nice and all, but it loads unbelievably slow. I believe @ParthKohli has suggested one like math-overflow.

I think it should take the more modernist approach, ie not gradients everywhere, especially in the manner it was done...
take the New Myspace, the Metro design style in Microsoft...
It's all about content.

The most likely reason is the aggregated information on the server. Delay times is usually proportional to memory space. On the other hand, efficiency is usually inversely proportional to memory space. There solutions to resolving these risks would include:

1) Upgrade server equipment
2) Remove unnecessary content that consume memory space
3) Re-write the software code that runs the servers and website
4) Instill compatible software and/or electronic equipment for delivery
