A semicircle has a diameter of 18 centimeters. What is its area? (Use 3.14 for pi)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

key

OpenStudy (zpupster):

the diameter is 2 times the radius so take the diameter and divide by 2 and plug the radius in the area formula for a circle the Area of circle is: pir^2 = A and then divide that area by 2 because it is a semi ( half) circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is not one of the answer i have to put in sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28.6

OpenStudy (zpupster):

18 /2 = 9 3.14)(9)^2 = A A= 254.34 254.34/2 Area for semi 127.17 cm^2
