Which of the following is not a type of correlation associated with scatterplots? A. no correlation B. positive correlation C. negative correlation D. indefinite correlation

The answer is D. No correlation means that there is no line that you could draw through the graph that would have most of the points near it. Positive correlation means that the line of best fit, which is the line that has most of the points near it, goes from the bottom left of the graph (or near it) to the top right (or near it). Negative correlation means that the line of best fit goes from the top right (or near it) to the bottom left (or near it). I have never heard a graph described as having indefinite correlation, so that has to be the answer.
