it tells u wht to do!

hartnn (hartnn):

when 2 polygons are similar, their 'corresponding' sides are proportional.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for example for finding x would the equation be 2x + 1 = 12.5 ? @hartnn

hartnn (hartnn):

not exactly, you have to take the ratio, \(\large \dfrac{2x+1}{4}=\dfrac{12.5}{10}\) can you appreciate this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 13.33?

hartnn (hartnn):

it'll more suited to write \(\large \dfrac{2x+1}{12.5}=\dfrac{4}{10}\) infact, using 4/10, you can find all x,y,z \(\large \dfrac{2x+1}{12.5}=\dfrac{14z}{17.5}=\dfrac{y+5}{4.5}=\dfrac{4}{10}\)

hartnn (hartnn):

13.33 = what ? x ? i don't get 'x' = that
