Gidget's long hair was impressively long. Her hair could almost sweep the ground if she would let it. It glistened during the day and glowed in the night. If the author wanted to write a compare and contrast passage, what should he or she write next? A. Gidget combed her hair 100 times every day. B. Gidget tied her up to keep it off the ground. C. Her hair was straight black with a few waves. D. Her hair shined better than all the girls in class.

please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She has to have something to compare it to, which of those is comparing her hair to something/someone else?

OpenStudy (zale101):

I can't choose from these choices, because non of them leads to comparison nor contrasting. My educated guess will be D, because Gidget is comparing her hair from the rest of her classmates.
