[Trigo] Prove that... cos^2x+cos^2(x+π/3)+cos^2(x−π/3)=3/2

OpenStudy (dls):

\[\LARGE \frac{1}{2}(3+\cos2x+\cos(2x+\frac{2 \pi}{3})+\cos(2x-\frac{2 \pi}{3}))\] I've reached here,dunno what next

OpenStudy (dls):

maybe cosx+cosy, that gave me cos4xcos2pi/3

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

mai shubham to tag kr rha tha, fir dekha ye to yhi hain. :P

OpenStudy (dls):

lol

OpenStudy (dls):

nahi hai :/

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

abhi to yahin tha. @shubhamsrg

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

@shubhamsrg ^_^

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

ye cos^2x likhna chate ho ya cos2x ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

rofl! :D

OpenStudy (dls):

cos^2x :P

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

haha. mereko milte nhi aise kabhi bhi. :/

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

cos (square)x ?

OpenStudy (dls):

yes

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

snapshot me to cos(2x) hai o.O

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

http://prntscr.com/watvg

OpenStudy (dls):

cos2x hai :P

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

:|

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

cos(2x + 2pi/3) + cos(2x-2pi/3) = 2cos(2x)cos(2pi/3)

OpenStudy (dls):

\[\LARGE \frac{1}{2}(3+\cos2x+\cos(4x)\cos (\frac{2\pi}{3}))\]

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

cos4x kaha se? :|

OpenStudy (dls):

sorry cos2x

OpenStudy (dls):

/2

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

aur bahar 2 bhi hai..

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

yr shubham, kya besti krta rehta hai meri. :/

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

:D

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

No ?

OpenStudy (dls):

\[\LARGE \frac{1}{2}(3+\cos2x+\cos(2x)\cos (\frac{2\pi}{3}))\]

OpenStudy (dls):

bahar wala 2 to cancel hogaya @yrelhan4

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

2cos2x cos(2pi/3) hoga

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nahi hoga @DLS

OpenStudy (dls):

kyun @ParthKohli

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

kiske saath cancel ho gya?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

:D

Parth (parthkohli):

:nothingtodohere:

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

OMG. HAHAHAHA.

OpenStudy (dls):

:o

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

please don't laugh :)

OpenStudy (dls):

oh wow! :O NO.

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

:P

OpenStudy (dls):

arreraat ka time hai ~drunk, carry on!!

OpenStudy (dls):

\[\LARGE \frac{1}{2}(3+\cos2x+2\cos(2x)\cos (\frac{2\pi}{3}))\]

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

sorry yaar. hasna nhi chahiye tha. :P

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

cos(2pi/3) rakh do

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

yes! you got it right! B|

Parth (parthkohli):

cos(2pi/3) rakh diya. table pe chalega?

OpenStudy (dls):

arre yaar equation editor sux samaj jao

Parth (parthkohli):

\(\LaTeX\) khud likh lo, why equation editor?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nahi,table pe nahi :/

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

The medal belongs the Parth. (Y)

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

cos2x common kar lo

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nahi, it belongs to yrelhan :)

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

@ParthKohli sabko common room me le jayen?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

arre us bechare ka ques kar do pehle -_-

OpenStudy (dls):

thanks for reminding..

Parth (parthkohli):

Theek hai, aapke sar pe rakh diya! ^_^

OpenStudy (dls):

cos raj!

OpenStudy (dls):

BATAO YAAR KOI :/

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

Koikkara ko bulayen?

Parth (parthkohli):

@Koikkara He's calling you.

Parth (parthkohli):

lol @yrelhan4 same joke :-P

Parth (parthkohli):

lame*

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

aaah, bahut bhari hai, hatao ! :(

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

haha Parth. :P acha mai chala. krlo solve. bbye.

OpenStudy (dls):

KAUN SOLVE KAREGA WTF:/

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

acha iska ans kya hai? :P matlab kis form me simplify karke lana hai ?

OpenStudy (dls):

=3/2 prove karna hai? -.- read the fluttering question

Parth (parthkohli):

Hata diya ^_^

OpenStudy (dls):

f u c k i n g question*

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

sex.png! lol.. hahahahhaha :D

Parth (parthkohli):

I'm glad you noticed. XD

OpenStudy (dls):

arre yaar batado fir marate rehna

Parth (parthkohli):

Accha, help him with the question, phir iss thread mein maze karenge ^_^

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

kya hoga is duniya ko. sigh hahaha marate rehna. :P

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

kya ans hai ?

OpenStudy (dls):

READ THE F U C K I N G question

Parth (parthkohli):

Agar answer hoga unke paas toh aapse kyun puchenge? -_-

OpenStudy (dls):

we have to prove it=3/2

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

to cos2x common kyu kar liye! :P

Parth (parthkohli):

Achcha, agar main answer de doon, toh mujhe ek toffee de doge? ^_^

OpenStudy (dls):

|dw:1363286279496:dw|

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

kya drawing hai.. maan gye ustaad.

Parth (parthkohli):

When you don't know what it is, then freaking Google it! http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/2665577

OpenStudy (dls):

galti kardi puchke,rat lenachahiye tha

Parth (parthkohli):

Now we can enjoy in this thread peacefully :-)

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

oye, cos(2pi/3) kya hota hai? o.O

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

and when you get the solution, post it here... cos(a+b) = cos(a)cos(b)-sin(a)sin(b) cos(x+π/3) = cos(x)cos(π/3)-sin(x)sin(π/3) = [cos(x)/2]-[sqrt(3)sin(x)/2] = m-n cos(x-π/3) = cos(x)cos(-π/3)-sin(x)sin(-π/3) = [cos(x)/2]+[sqrt(3)sin(x)/2] = m+n (m-n)² = m²+2mn+n² (m+n)² = m²-2mn+n² (m+n)²+(m-n)² = 2(m²+n²) So, you have cos²(x)+2[(cos²(x)/4)+(3sin²(x)/4)] = 3/2 cos²(x)+cos²(x)/2+(3/2)sin²(x) = 3/2 cos²(x)+sin²(x)+cos²(x)/2+sin²(x)/2 = 3/2 1+(1/2)(cos²(x)+sin²(x)) = 3/2 1+(1/2)(1) = 3/2 3/2 = 3/2 check.

OpenStudy (dls):

-1/2 why

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

cos(2pi/3) = -1/2 and not -sqrt3 /2
